Create a new PowerPoint file then save as PDF to confirm if the issue can be reproduced. In your scenario, please confirm if the issue happens to all PowerPoint files or specific file. And this issue has been fixed as of June 14, 2016. If you launch Microsoft word and do not see the error, close the app, drag back one of the files to its original location and restart Word.
